POSITIONSCOPE:

This hands-on and enthusiastic Controller will have the unique opportunity to lead and grow our Accounting team. You will be responsible for all areas relating to accounting and financial reporting, cash management, designing and implementing accounting policies, improving procedures and internal controls for our rapidly growing company. This is a highly visible position that will work closely with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a mix of start-up, or other high-growth environment.

Reports To:

CFO

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Oversee, participate in and be accountable for the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close process

· Prepare annual plan

· Monthly cash flow planning

· Work with account managers to create rolling revenue forecasts

· Prepare MBR/QBR & bank reports

· Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

· Establish, implement and monitor appropriate internal controls and policies to ensure conformance and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other statutory requirements

· Coordinate and participate in the year-end audit process with external auditors

o Develop internal audit program to include:

  • Inventory

  • Labor

  • Invoicing to customers

o AP to include:

  • PO’s Issued

  • Receiving

  • Vendor Invoices

· Provides analysis of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data

· Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable to optimize the company’s cash position

· Monitor and report compliance with the Company’s debt agreements

· Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

· Work with procurement and finance team to develop RFP process for key suppliers to include measurable KPI’s for those awarded business.

· Align vendor KPI’s to Coregistics customer’s KPI’s.

· Drive cost avoidance and cost savings where applicable

· Work with finance and IT teams to improve reporting internally and externally

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience

  • Previous Big 4 or other public accounting experience preferred

  • Expert level experience in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products as well as strong computer overall skills

  • Financial Reporting for public or private companies, including full suite of financial statements under GAAP

  • Expertise in working with external and internal auditors

  • Fluency of ERP and financial accounting platforms

  • M&A due diligence, purchase accounting and integration

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and motivating skills.

  • Significant financial modeling experience relevant to reporting, analysis and cost controls.

  • A strong professional can-do attitude.

  • Solid problem-solving skills.

  • Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Ability to travel, as needed
